In the heart of the European Alps, Baffin’s Marketing Specialist, Sidney Durante, joined Baffin partner, Women Who Explore on a seven-day Real-World TestingTM expedition along the Tour du Mont Blanc, trekking through France, Italy, and Switzerland. Women Who Explore is a global community dedicated to empowering women in the outdoors, fostering connection, adventure, and discovery. The Grand Finale
The final day of the Tour du Mont Blanc arrived marking the culmination of an unforgettable journey across three countries, filled with sweeping alpine vistas and seven days of demanding trekking. This last day combined both challenge and breathtaking beauty.
It began with an intense ascent compounded by heavy humidity, prompting an on-the-fly adjustment. Sidney cut her leggings into shorts to stay comfortable and focused on the trail. The path initially wound through a shaded forest before opening to sweeping panoramas, where late-summer greens merged with the first hints of fall, painting the landscape in warm oranges and reds.
Crossing Borders and Savoring the Summit
At the summit, the group crossed back into France, pausing to savor one last mountain-top hot chocolate and reflect on the adventure so far. The descent travelled through grassy meadows, wildflowers, and rugged peaks, each step offering a final, breathtaking perspective of the Mont Blanc range.
