BAFFIN ISLAND
Alpine Odyssey | Mont Blanc Trek – Side Trails: Day 6
March 17, 2026
In the heart of the European Alps, Baffin’s Marketing Specialist, Sidney Durante, joined Baffin partner, Women Who Explore on a seven-day Real-World TestingTM expedition along the Tour du Mont Blanc, trekking through France, Italy, and Switzerland. Women Who Explore is a global community dedicated to empowering women in the outdoors, fostering connection, adventure, and discovery. As a proud partner of Baffin, they led this inspiring, women-only expedition, providing the perfect environment to Real-World Test Baffin gear in rugged alpine conditions.
Throughout the trek, Sidney put wore in-line products and early-stage prototypes, gathering valuable performance insights while navigating challenging terrain and changing weather — demonstrating Baffin’s ongoing commitment to Real-World TestingTM.

Rivers, Rocks, and Reliability

Day 6 brought more breathtaking Swiss scenery and terrain that demanded adaptability. From boulder-strewn slopes and loose stone paths to winding river walks and classic dirt trails, Baffin’s ELORA MID handled it all with ease.

Sidney’s favourite section was the extended river walk, a refreshing change from the quick crossings earlier in the trek. During this section, Baffin’s B-Tek™ Dry Waterproof Breathable Technology kept her feet completely dry, allowing her to focus on the trail and the surrounding alpine beauty.
Climbing High, Descending with Ease

A steep, sun-drenched climb tested endurance, but the summit views made every step worthwhile, offering sweeping panoramas of the Mont Blanc massif and surrounding valleys. The descent carried the group through a serene forest, its floor woven with roots and scattered rock, reminding Sidney of the Bruce Trail, Canada’s oldest and longest marked footpath, that passes through Baffin’s own backyard in Hamilton, Ontario.
A Day to Remember
With the second-to-last day complete, the alpine vistas continued to amaze, reminding Sidney why this journey is one of both adventure and discovery.
Stay tuned for the grand finale, as the trek concludes with the return to Chamonix, France, closing the loop on an unforgettable Real-World TestingTM expedition.
